Pop-Kultur is more than music. Pop-Kultur Talks!
About futures, perspectives, the music industry and our society. Alongside concerts, DJ sets and the Commissioned Works, the festival also includes a series of Talks – presented in 2025 for the first time independently from the live programme, right at the start of the festival week.
What can you expect?
The Pop-Kultur Talks feature panel discussions, readings, artist conversations and listening sessions on major questions such as:
- What defines the art of producing – and what creative techniques can we learn from artists?
- How can independent labels and artists regain control over their work and careers – and how can diversity be strengthened structurally?
- How do we shape the transformations of our time – and what can pop culture contribute to sustainability, AI, and fair pay?
- What role does counterculture play in times of societal upheaval – and what does passion mean in pop culture today?
This isn’t just about listening – it’s about exchanging ideas, asking questions and joining the conversation. Because: Pop-Kultur talks!
Everyone who wants to help shape Pop-Kultur is welcome: music-makers, creatives and fans.

Additional concerts, listening sessions and discursive formats will take place on Monday and Tuesday with musicians from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia – as part of Sonic Crossings. On Tuesday evening, the programme continues with live concerts and performances by the winners of Pop-Kultur Lokal – across the Wedding venues Panke, db studios, RCHTN25 and Heizhaus. Admission is free.
