Co-Creation Residencies

The Musicboard’s co-creation residencies place a particular focus on exceptional collaborations and on fostering long-term artistic and cultural exchange. To this end, the Musicboard not only awards residency placements abroad to Berlin-based artists, but also invites international musicians to Berlin. In this way, residency partners have the opportunity to work on joint productions over an extended period of time and in different locations.

For the co-creation residencies, the Musicboard collaborates with the techno legends of Underground Resistance and the Detroit–Berlin Connection, with Nyege Nyege – a label and festival for experimental electronic music in Kampala, with the feminist initiative Black Girls Glow in Accra, and with the club Kuli Alma in Tel Aviv.
