»Sonic Crossings« – Concerts and Community Space hosted by In the Mountains

The second day of Sonic Crossings is all about encounter, exchange, and musical diversity. Together with the queer festival collective In the Mountains, we invite you to an afternoon and evening that places musicians from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia centre stage.
We begin at 16:00 with an open invitation to drop by and spend time together: over Turkish and Armenian coffee and a round of Nardi – a popular backgammon-style game from the region – we’ll create a welcoming space for conversation, connection, and informal exchange.
At around 17:00, the In the Mountains collective will introduce the participating musicians. Instead of formal talks or panels, this session will offer personal perspectives, shared references, and a first encounter with the artistic positions that will later appear on stage.
Following this, guests are invited to enjoy a traditional shared meal from the region. The early evening continues with an Open Mic, offering space to read or listen to personal texts, poems, and reflections – whether brought from home or improvised on the spot.
The highlight of the day begins at 20:30 with live performances by the featured artists Vaqo from Georgia, inherroom (Nazrin Mammadova) from Azerbaijan, and the Armenian duo Symptom Error. Their work moves fluidly between indie, electronic, rock, and sound art – promising an evening full of musical boundary-crossings.
