Nzambisa

Back to the tactile: Nzambisa is a cultural worker, podcaster, and passionate music nerd – who didn’t come to DJing through club nights, but through a deep love of vinyl. Born and raised in Berlin, with family roots in the Congo, she was shaped early on by Congolese rumba, gospel, and a wide range of genres.
You can hear that openness in her DJ sets – whether at Berlin institutions like Refuge Worldwide or at events like »Poetry Meets« and »What a Playground«. Her sound draws as much from African musical traditions as it does from the layered soundscapes of the diaspora.
Driving, experimental, and full of curiosity, Nzambisa takes her audience on a shared musical journey. Her one guiding rule: radical openness – to genres, to styles, and to each other.
