Maurice Summen & Jörg Heidemann
Maurice Summen is a German musician, music publisher, A&R, author and journalist. In 2002, he founded the band Die Türen, and a year later the Berlin-based label Staatsakt. Since 2015, he has also run the (sub-)label Fun In The Church, home to »Outernational Music for Interplanetary People«. In 2024, he launched the electronic music project SUPERSPACE together with Tom »Der Assistent« Hessler – a homage to 20th-century electronic pop music, blending nostalgic reference with a playful, critical take on simplistic AI solutions.
Jörg Heidemann is the Managing Director of the Association of Independent Music Entrepreneurs (VUT e.V.), which represents the interests of independent players in Germany’s music industry. While studying psychology at the University of Trier – from which he graduated with a diploma – he worked in record shops to support himself. A passionate listener and collector ever since, Jörg has a particular love for music with African American roots – from blues to electronic.
