A fresh wind is blowing from Vilnius – carrying dark synths, stoic basslines, and bittersweet post-punk poetry: Kyla Vėjas! The duo, made up of Emilija Kandratavičiūtė and Antanas Jakutis (Eastern Europe–inclined music fans may know them from their other projects, Egomašina or Katarsis), have made a mark with their debut album – and not just with the exclamation mark in their name. Their music feels like an embrace with cold hands – and who doesn’t love that? The track »Išsekęs« (Lithuanian for »exhausted«) is a hit for everyone who’d rather cry at night than jog in the morning. And live? Kyla Vėjas! are rock solid. They’ve already proven it supporting The KVB and at the Juodas Vilnius Festival – and now, for the first time in Germany: at Pop-Kultur 2025.
