Eilis Frawley

If there were more artists like Eilis Frawley – clear, clever, and uncompromising in their message – the world of pop, and beyond, would be a better place. Originally from Australia, with a stopover in Seoul before settling in Berlin, Frawley manages the rare feat of making experimental songwriting sound accessible – pop with purpose, without preaching. Her latest album »Fall Forward«, released on Berlin indie label Sinnbus and co-produced by Kat Frankie, is a blazing manifesto – somewhere between pop, jazz, and krautrock, between rage, tenderness, and resistance. A standout: the single »Be a Lady«, a feminist flare fired into the darkness of societal expectation.
Previously involved in projects like Laura Lee & The Jettes, Party Fears, I Drew Blank, Kara Delik, and Restless, Frawley has long since found a sound of her own – one she uses to speak about the crisis of late capitalism, queerness, feminism, and personal loss.
