Efterklang

Since marking their return six years ago, Danish indie rock band Efterklang have been in enviably effortless form. It’s beautifully evident on their latest single »Getting Reminders«, carried by Casper Clausen’s distinctive vocals and featuring Zach Condon (Beirut) on trumpet – adding a touch of melancholy shimmer, like fast-forwarded nostalgia.
To mark the band’s 20th anniversary, filmmaker Andreas Johnsen created a cinematic tribute: »Efterklang: The Makedonium Band«, shot at this year’s CPH:DOX. At Pop-Kultur, Efterklang will present their new album »Things We Have in Common«, released on Berlin’s beloved indie label City Slang – a sonic ecosystem somewhere between pop, indie rock, post-rock, and electronica. It’s a utopian meeting place for exchange in troubled times.
