Das Beat from Berlin guarantee an electrifying live show: Eddie Rabenberger and DJ Kirby – who also plays with Blue Hawaii and mixes for Brutalismus 3000 – blend sharp-edged new wave, Italo disco and shimmering electroclash, topped off with a dash of Neue Deutsche Welle. Their vocals alternate between German and English, though ›vocals‹ hardly does justice Eddie Rabenberger’s dramatic, witty, and performative delivery.
Rabenberger hails from southern Germany, while DJ Kirby moved from Montreal to Berlin a few years ago – where both clearly belong. Making music together since 2021, they released their debut album »Frau Fatal« in spring 2025, packed with hits like »Hopeless Romantik« and »Major Tom« (not a cover!).
