Bernadette La Hengst & Chor der Statistik: »KONKRETE UTOPIEN«

In 2019, the collective raumlaborberlin – made up of architects, artists, performers, inventors, and curators – founded the 60-member Chor der Statistik together with Berlin-based musician and choir director Bernadette La Hengst. The choir is based in the Haus der Statistik at Alexanderplatz. For Pop-Kultur Festival 2025, the choir presents »KONKRETE UTOPIEN«. In a time of global crises, rising inequality, and far-right threats, the choir creates a space to raise voices together, discover collective strength, and make utopias audible and tangible through music. Their songs envision the end of the climate crisis, rent control, a borderless Europe, and a parliament of things – demands that aim to shake up structures of inequality. The audience is warmly invited to sing along. The songbook for »KONKRETE UTOPIEN« will be available at the entrance on a donation basis.
