AratheJay

Samuel Ofei Ankrah Badu – better known as AratheJay – made a name for himself far beyond Ghana with the release of his 2024 EP »Finding Nimo Series: The Capsule«. Across nine tracks, he takes on the persona of »Nimo Constantine« – a figure caught between myth, pop and postcolonial consciousness – telling stories rich in personal depth and social relevance: from colonial history and social inequality to the right to joy. Musically, AratheJay moves between Hiplife, Afrobeats, trap, and contemporary Ghanaian rhythms – a layered sound that powerfully carries his message. He sees music as a duty, using his art to spread positive, empowering messages.
With the single »Jesus Christ 2«, released in collaboration with Black Sherif – a poetic reflection on everyday life, faith and resilience – AratheJay reached No. 1 on Ghana’s Apple Music charts and was added to the platform’s »Up Next« list. His debut album is set to follow in 2025.
